Detroit, Mich. — Dennis Hauger is on the pole in Detroit and much like Alex Palou in the NTT series, Hauger is no stranger to the checkered flag. He has won three times in four races this season, with all finishes inside the top ten. The Top five in the NXT series has been dominated by five drivers. Besides Hauger, Lochie Hughes, Myles Rowe, Caio Collet ,and Salvador de Alba have swept the top five positions in two of the four races. Will that continue in Detroit?
Read on and let’s drop the green flag.

Quick Race Recap
With an opening lap seven-car accident, only 13 drivers remained on the lead lap before the race really began. Salvador deAlba, keeps second place early in the race, taking advantage of the carnage early. He has a tire rub on the front left wing, and that has developed a groove. de Alba quickly drops to the final car on the lead lap and Lochie Hughes is now second, but 6.265 seconds behind the leader (Lap 26).
With ten laps to go, 13 drivers remain on the lead lap. Hauger has led them all with Hughes right behind. Hauger is passing lapped traffic in a no-pit-stop race. Lochie Hughes wing collapses on lap 38 of 45 and he is black flagged. Caio Collet takes over second and Hauger increases his lead to over 12-seconds. Jordan Missig misses a corner and is turned around on lap 41/45, drawing a caution. The race remains under caution until one to go and Hauger quickly establishes his lead and pullsaway for his fifth victory of the season.
The Checkered Flag
Dennis Hauger wins for the fourth time in five races this season. He leads all 45 laps and went up by over 12-seconds until a caution with just four laps to go.
