Ball State Wins First MAC Men’s Golf Title Since 1986!

WESTFIELD, Ind. – The Ball State University golf team claimed its first Mid-American Conference Championship title in almost 40 years, winning by six strokes at The Club at Chatham Hills to earn an automatic berth into the NCAA Regionals. This marks the first title for Ball State Head Coach Mike Fleck and the first title for the Cardinals since 1986. 

Ball State finished the three round Championship at Chatham Hills with a score of 854 (-10). Miami finished in second place (859, -5), while Kent State and Northern Illinois finished tied for third (863, -1). 

Toledo’s Barend Botha claimed individual championship honors for the second consecutive year with a three-day total of 205 (-11).
