GAM is one of the leading organizers for junior golf in the USA. Many juniors play golf in the state and play because $5 rounds of golf are available in Michigan. Golf courses cannot afford to allow junior players to play that inexpensively, but they see the future of those playing as kids growing up to become daily green fee or country club members. Youth on Course and the 100 Hole Hike golfers are raising funds through online pledges, and Chris Whitten, the Executive Director of GAM, in combination of the friends of GAM and donors, is making up the difference so the next generation of players can learn the game. Some of these kids may even fix an adult’s divot. Check out the conversation of Chris and myself and you will find out how to get involved.
