Charlotte, NC. — NASCAR needed to make a tweak with their playoff format. Theydecided to go retro and go back to theirvery first playoff format called The CHASE. It will largely favor a season-long playoff points format with surprise winners and teams being left out of the mix. It will make traditionalists happy and the lesser teams not in the hunt.
