That was the number of perfect games shot on Wednesday during the first two rounds of the PBA Indiana Classic, including nine during the opening round alone.
Two of them came from tournament leader Dom Barrett, who fired 300 in Game 4 of each six-game block at David Small’s Pro Bowl West in Fort Wayne, Ind.
Barrett led the 96-player field with a total pinfall of 2,965 (+565) for his dozen games.
Sean Lavery-Spahr, Timmy Tan, Marshall Kent and Mitch Hupé round out the top five
All 96 players will return for two more six-game rounds on Thursday.
The top 32 players will move onto Friday morning’s first Advancers Round, where six more games will whittle the field down to the top 16 for the final Advancers Round on Friday night.
AJ Johnson currently sits in 32nd place, averaging more than 233 on Wednesday.
Kyle Troup, who won the 2024 Just Bare PBA Indiana Classic in Anderson, sits 40 pins behind Johnson in 40th place.
After the 36th game is completed on Friday night, the top five players will secure berths in Sunday’s championship round.
The stepladder finals will air live Sunday, March 22 at 4 p.m. ET (3 p.m. CT) on The CW.
