Nelly Korda’s third career major victory resulted in a return to No. 1 in the world. On Sunday, she claimed win No. 3 of the 2026 season.

Korda opened the 2026 Riviera Maya Open at Mayakoba on Thursday with a 68, then followed that up with a pair of 67s to take a three-shot lead into the final round. Korda has yet to finish outside the top 2 in 2026.

Korda rolls in a bogey from the fringe on 18 to ice it

It was just her second bogey of the week but no matter. Nelly Korda has now won twice in eight days and three times this season.

Korda sent her final tee shot of the week into the thick foliage down the right side of the 18th hole and had to hit a provisional, which ended up in a bunker. This sequence would lead to just her second score worse than par all week. But, it also comes with her leading by six shots.

Yu Liu is one of four golfers at double digits under par, but Liu is a whopping seven shots back with just three to go. Nice shot here, though:
