The Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA) has announced its Players of the Week for November 22-24 and four student-athletes from four different programs have been recognized. Timo Bakos (Lake Superior State) earned Forward of the Week, while Uula Ruikka (Augustana) was the league’s Defenseman of the Week. Alex Tracy (Minnesota State) collected his league-leading third Goaltender of the Week this season and Isa Parekh (Bemidji State) garnered the Rookie of the Week honors.

CCHA Forward of the Week: Timo Bakos, Sr., Lake Superior State (Augsburg, Germany)
Bakos led all CCHA skaters with four points last week, scoring three goals, including a game-winner, with one assist. One of his tallies came on the power play and he totaled four shots on goal for the weekend – a 1-0-1 road series against Alaska Anchorage. On Saturday, he scored a go-ahead goal in an eventual 4-4 tie with the Seawolves, before netting a pair and assisting on another in a 4-2 victory on Sunday.
CCHA Defenseman of the Week: Uula Ruikka, Sr., Augustana (Oulu, Sweden)
Ruikka registered a goal and an assist with a +1 rating this weekend, helping Augustana to a road split with Ferris State. He recorded one shot on goal and blocked two at the defensive end of the ice. On Friday, he notched one helper in a 5-2 loss to the Bulldogs and followed that up with a third-period tally – his first of the campaign – a 4-1 Vikings victory.
CCHA Goaltender of the Week: Alex Tracy, Jr., Minnesota State (Chicago, Ill.)
Tracy paced all CCHA two-start netminders in wins (2), save percentage (.946) and total saves (53) last week, leading No. 17 Minnesota State to a road sweep of Michigan Tech. In 119:23 minutes of action over the weekend, he produced a 1.51 goals-against average. On Friday, he made 21 stops in a 5-2 victory, before turning away 32-of-33 shots in a 3-1 triumph on Saturday.
CCHA Rookie of the Week: Isa Parekh, Fr., Bemidji State (Nobleton, Ont.)
Parekh produced two points last week on a goal and an assist from the blue line, helping Bemidji State to a five-point weekend against CCHA-foe St. Thomas. He was a +1 for the weekend with three shots on goal and two blocks at the defensive end. On Friday, he netted a power-play goal in a 2-2 tie with the Tommies. He then set up the Beavers’ tying goal in an eventual 2-1 win on Saturday.
