The Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA) has announced its Players of the Week for December 12-14 and four student-athletes from three different programs have been recognized. Stiven Sardarian (Michigan Tech) collected Forward of the Week honors, while Mitch Wolfe (Bemidji State) claimed Defenseman of the Week. Alex Tracy (Minnesota State) was Goaltender of the Week for the fourth time and Logan Morrell (Michigan Tech) picked up Rookie of the Week.

CCHA Forward of the Week: Stiven Sardarian, Jr., Michigan Tech (Saint Petersburg, Russia)
Sardarian recorded a CCHA-best six points last week, scoring a goal and dishing out five assists in a road split against Bemidji State last week. Posting a +5 for the weekend, he recorded one helper in a 2-2 tie on Friday, which the Beavers took the bonus point in a shootout. He then notched a career-high five points (1 goal, 4 assists) in a 9-5 Huskies win on Saturday night. He totaled three shots in the series.
Michigan Tech’s Stiven Sardarian and Logan Morrell were named CCHA Players of the Week on Monday.
CCHA Defenseman of the Week: Mitch Wolfe, Jr., Bemidji State (Andover, Minn.)
Wolfe led all league blueliners with two points last weekend, scoring a goal and assisting on another. He was a +1 on the weekend as the Beavers collected two points against Michigan Tech. Overall, he had eight shots on goal and blocked four defensively. On Friday, he scored a go-ahead goal in the third period, before Bemidji State won in a shootout. He then assisted on the Beavers’ third goal in a 9-5 defeat on Saturday night.
CCHA Goaltender of the Week: Alex Tracy, Jr., Minnesota State (Chicago, Ill.)
Tracy posted CCHA-bests in wins (2), goal-against average (1.45) and save percentage (.946) last week, helping No. 12 Minnesota State take 5-of-6 points from a weekend series against Lake Superior State. He was second in total saves (53), stopping 19-of-20 shots on Friday night in a 2-1 win, before turning away 34 in a 3-2 overtime victory on Saturday. He helped the Mavericks penalty kill go 7-for-8, stopping 13 shots while MSU was shorthanded.
CCHA Rookie of the Week: Logan Morrell, Fr., Michigan Tech (Mesa, Ariz.)
Morrell broke out with a rookie-high five points last week, scoring four goals with one assist at Bemidji State. Matching teammate Stiven Sardarian with a league-high +5 rating, he totaled eight shots on goal with one block defensively. He also won 19-of-37 face-offs (51.4%). On Friday, he scored both Michigan Tech goals in a 2-2 tie, before posting a season-high three points (2 goals, 1 assist) in a 9-5 Huskies victory on Saturday.
