ROSEMONT, Ill. – The Big Ten Conference has announced its Three Stars of the Week for hockey games played Dec. 12-14.
First Star
Isaac Howard, Michigan State
Jr. – F – Hudson, Wis. — Minnesota-Duluth (NCAA)
- Scored twice in Michigan State’s 5-3 come-from-behind win over No. 1/1 Minnesota on Dec. 14, helping the No. 3/2 Spartans to five of six possible points in the series
- Distributed a power play assist on MSU’s third goal in a 3-3 overtime tie on Dec. 13
- Has scored a career-best nine goals this season and leads the team in scoring with 20 points
- The 2022 Tampa Bay Lighting first round selection earns his second Star award

- Scored the overtime game-winning goal in Ohio State’s 2-1 win over Notre Dame Dec. 13 in Columbus, Ohio
- Netted the game’s first goal on Saturday to help No. 15/15 Ohio State to a 3-1 win and a weekend sweep of the Fighting Irish
- Finished the Big Ten series with five blocks while helping the Buckeye defense hold Notre Dame to two goals and 34 total shots
- The Washington Capitals third rounder receives his first Big Ten weekly award

- Turned away 33 shots the next night in a 3-2 overtime loss to the Wolverines
- Finished the series with a .949 save percentage, going 6-for-6 on the penalty kill and stopping 13 shots on the power play
- The senior netminder wins a Big Ten Star Award for the second-straight week
