ROSEMONT, Ill. – University of Illinois senior Jackson Buchanan has been named the Big Ten Golfer of the Week for tournaments from October 17-23.
Golfer of the Week – Jackson Buchanan, Illinois – Sr. – Dacula, Ga. – Buford
- Won the fourth tournament of his collegiate career, carding a 209 (-7) to claim medalist honors at the Fallen Oak Collegiate Invitational in Saucier, Miss.
- Shot an opening 75 (+3) and was tied for 39th after round one, but stormed back with scores of 68 (-4) and 66 (-6) in rounds two and three, respectively, to win by one stroke
- Posted 11 birdies and just one bogey over the final 36 holes to climb 39 spots up the leaderboard and secure the victory
