Carlton Davis spoke to the media after the game about how the energy changed in the second half and the defense’s second half performance.
On the collective second half performance
Carlton: At halftime, ‘AG’ [Defensive Coordinator Aaron Glenn] came up to us, and he had a heartfelt message for us to just play our game and go out there and just put it all on the line. Because at that point, we’re losing the game, and there is nothing else to do but to try to win it. You’re already losing.
Give it all you got. That’s what we did. Eleven guys went out there and did their jobs.
On how the energy changed in the second half
Carlton: I’m never paying too much attention to the crowd. I’m not going with the flow. I’m trying to just focus on my job. Honestly, I don’t even hear them, if I’m being honest with you. But it was loud when we first got out there. It was a good crowd. When they were up, they were loud. In the second half, make some plays, and it’s kind of going down. Like I said, I’m not paying too much attention to it. I’m just trying to get a W.
