The Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA) has announced its Players of the Week for November 8-9 and four student-athletes from three different programs have been recognized. Stiven Sardarian (Michigan Tech) was named Forward of the Week, while Nate Schweitzer (Lake Superior State) and Rorke Applebee (Lake Superior State) garnered Defenseman and Goaltender of the Week, respectively. Joey DeGreco (Augustana) picked up Rookie of the Week honors.

CCHA Forward of the Week: Stiven Sardarian, Jr., Michigan Tech (Saint Petersburg, Russia)
Sardarian produced league-bests in goals (2), points (3) and game-winning goals (2) last week, leading Michigan Tech to a road sweep of Ferris State. Tallying only three shots on goal, he extended his goal-scoring streak to four games, netting the winning markers on Friday (3-2) and Saturday (3-1) against the Bulldogs.
CCHA Defenseman of the Week: Nate Schweitzer, Sr., Lake Superior State (Champlin, Minn.)
Schweitzer paced CCHA blueliners in goals (1), assists (3) and points (4), last week, helping Lake Superior State to a road sweep of rival Northern Michigan. He was a +3 with one power-play goal, two shots and one block. On Friday, he registered his first collegiate three-point goal, netting his first goal as a Laker and dishing out two helpers.
CCHA Goaltender of the Week: Rorke Applebee, Fr., Lake Superior State (Chateauguay, Que.)
Applebee went 2-0-0 with CCHA-bests in goals-against average (0.50) and save percentage (.984), posting the lone shutout by conference netminders on the weekend. Turning away a total of 62-of-63 shots, he earned his second shutout of the season on Friday against Northern Michigan, with 34 saves in a 5-0 win. On Saturday, he registered 28 stops in a 5-1 victory.
CCHA Rookie of the Week: Joey DelGreco, Fr., Augustana (Grand Rapids, Minn.)
DelGreco turned in a three-point week for Augustana, which was tops among conference rookies. Scoring two goals, including a game-winner, he also had an assist, five shots on goal and seven face-off wins. Scoring once on Friday in a 4-3 overtime loss to Bemidji State, he picked up his first collegiate multi-point game on Saturday, setting up the game’s first goal, before netting the eventual game-winner in the second period.
