The 2025 Darius Rucker Intercollegiate at Long Cove Club in Hilton Head Island, S.C., ended in a tie for both the individual and team competitions.

LSU and South Carolina finished tied at the top of the leaderboard at 11-over in the team competition.

Under tournament rules, LSU won the official title with the lowest drop scores from the three days in the play five, count four golfers format. With those scores added, LSU came in at 15-over, one shot better than South Carolina, who finished at 16-over.

This is LSU’s second win in three years at the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate, and the Tigers also edged out the Gamecocks in 2023.

Arkansas finished in solo third place at 15-over, Wake Forest finished in solo fourth place at 19-over, and 2024 champions Arizona State finished in solo fifth place at 20-over.

In the individual competition, Louise Rydqvist of South Carolina and Kendall Todd of Arkansas finished as co-medalists. Both golfers made par on No. 18 to finish 1-under as the only players in the field to post under-par scores.

Rydqvist carded rounds of 72-69-71, while Todd shot 68-72-72. Today was Rydqvist’s second top-five finish of the season and the eleventh of her career in 35 starts for South Carolina.

According to South Carolina Athletics, it’s the third straight season the Gamecocks have taken home the individual title at the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate. All-American Mathilde Claisse won in 2022, and All-American Hannah Darling earned co-medalist honors last season. This was the senior All-American’s second collegiate win.

Rydqvist is currently ranked No. 3 in the Golfweek/AmateurGolf.com Women’s Rankings.

Todd made the final four of the 2024 U.S. Women’s Amateur and won the 2024 Women’s Porter Cup.

Aine Donegan of LSU, Lauren Kim of Texas, and Josefin Widal of LSU all finished T3 at even par. Donegan entered No. 18 tied for the lead at 1-under after a birdie on No. 17, but a bogey on No. 18 saw her fall out of the playoff.
