College Golf: Women’s Big Ten Teams chasing the ACC and Ole Miss after Day One of the Landfall Championships

The ACC has the top three and four of the top five schools in the Landfall women’s college tournament at the CC of Landfall tourney at the Pete Dye Course. The tournament is the finale for most women’s teams including MSU. Duke and Florida State lead the women with North Carolina only one team stroke behind. Ole Miss is fourth and Clemson is 5th. Michigan State isT-6th after day one of three in the tournament. Maryland is +4, one team stroke behind the Spartans. Illinois is 13th and Penn State is 16th. Notre Dame is 14th at +13.

The three day tournament has had an opening where ACC teams are separating themselves from most of the schools except Ole Miss. which won the Mary Fossum tournament at MSU in September.

Tops in Par 3-4-5’s and MSU/Maryland Ind. Scores

Ole Miss led the field in shooting par three holes under par. North Carolina led the Par 4/5 holes. MSU led all teams in coming in at par. MSU’s Katie Lu shot a two under par 70 to lead the team. Maryland had two players lead the Terrapins at 71.
