Q: These past two days have changed everyone’s routine. How did you stay ready, and
what was your mindset coming into today after the unexpected days off?
LAURYN NGUYEN: Honestly, it affected everybody, so I just kept thinking about it like
that. We hit indoors a little bit yesterday and kind of took what everything gave us.
Everyone’s playing in the same situation, so it’s just understanding that.
Q: With this tournament being cut to 36 holes, did it make you play more aggressively
today?
LAURYN NGUYEN: I don’t think so. I think my game plan kind of stayed the same. This is
my first time at this tournament, so every tournament I’m just trying to learn a little bit. But
yeah, the game plan stayed the same.
Q: Looking ahead to the final round tomorrow, what’s the biggest thing you’ll be focusing
on to put yourself in a position to win?
LAURYN NGUYEN: I think kind of the same stuff. My short game was really good today,
so just having confidence in that. Hit fairways, hit greens and make the putts when you
can.

Q: Now that the tournament has been shortened to 36 holes, did you try to play more
aggressively today?
ANNABELLE PANCAKE-WEBB: I wouldn’t say today I tried to be any more aggressive
than normal. I’m kind of already aggressive as it is. Tomorrow, I’m not really going to
change anything, but having that in mind, there’s nothing to lose. You have everything to
gain. I’ll just continue to play my game and not really change much. If there’s a chance to
be more aggressive, I might be, but we’ll see.
Q: Is there a certain aspect of Highland Meadows that fits your game well?
ANNABELLE PANCAKE-WEBB: Not really. You can’t really miss fairways because the
rough is thick, and with some of the trees, you can end up just punching out. I feel like my
driver is pretty consistent direction-wise, so I guess that helps.
Q: What was your favorite birdie of the day?
ANNABELLE PANCAKE-WEBB: I made about a 30-footer on, I think, No. 4. I kind of
pulled my iron and didn’t love it. I was just thinking, “It’d be kind of fun if this went in.” I
hadn’t made a long putt in a long time, and it did. I actually gave a fist pump, which I don’t
normally do, so that was fun.

Q: You’re currently tied for the lead at 5-under. What was working for you today?
JULIANA HUNG: Today, I actually didn’t hit my drives very well. I don’t think I hit a lot of
fairways, but my iron shots were pretty nice. I was giving myself a lot of opportunities for
birdies, and my putter worked really well today.
Q: You made three straight birdies on the front nine. What was clicking during that stretch?
JULIANA HUNG: To be honest, I don’t really know. Everything just kind of worked pretty
well together. I wasn’t worrying about not playing well, which is kind of what I had been
doing for a while. Today I just wanted to focus on the process and not worry about the
score, and it worked out pretty well.
Q: Can you walk us through hole No. 7? You ended up on another fairway and nearly
saved par. What happened on that hole?
JULIANA HUNG: On that hole, you kind of have to hit a fade around the trees, and I
naturally hit a draw. I really have to work to hit a fade there, and that shot just went straight
into the trees. I’d never practiced from that position before, so I didn’t really know what I
was doing. I had to go to the other fairway and then tried to get it onto the green, but I left
myself a bunker shot. Earlier on the front nine I didn’t hit a very good bunker shot either,
and that’s where I made my first bogey. Then that bunker shot on No. 7 wasn’t great
either, so I made another bogey. I’m not happy with my bunker shots today, but hopefully I
can just stay out of the bunkers tomorrow.
