The Desert Double left both IndyCar and NASCAR stakeholders and fans wanting more. The stands were full, the drivers and crews had a racing party and well over 50K fans were treated to a racing party. Unlike 2023, the last time the two series got together, this year felt right. IndyCar works best on ovals and the NASCAR drivers showed the series how to run two lines. When NASCAR dropped the green flag Sunday, would Ryan Blaney repeat his win last fall? Penske won Saturday and any driver winning for The Captain would give the owner the “Desert Double.”
