Indianapolis, Indiana/Detroit, Mich. — The LIV Story of the golf tour going bust has been going around for months. The ultimate fate is up in the air right now, but on July 30th, www.golfweek.com is reporting the Tour has a lifeline. Golfweek, quoting the NEW YORK Post reporter Mark Cannizzaro of treported late Wednesday that LIV Golf CEO Scott O’Neil is set to announce that the league will unveil significant new investment, which could keep the league afloat for the 2027 season and perhaps beyond.. Golfweek has NOT confirmed this story but it is known the Scott O’Neil has sent an email to LIV Tour stakeholders that the final two LIV events are happening, as is the 2027 season.
