The Albatross (Double Eagle)- The LPGA Field

Cincinnati, Ohio — Lottie Woad held up the winner’s trophy after playing a solid one under par on Sunday, with a field hot on her heels. At this time last year, Woad came off an NCAA finals appearance with a bright future ahead of her. Woad’s victory is her second in less than a year and with one of the strongest fields on the LPGA Tour. Current and former No. 1 players, (Nelly Korda, Jin Young Ko, Lydia Ko, Ariya Jutanugarn, and current No. 1 Jeeno Thitikul) were all in the field. Many in the current top ten were there as well.

An Eagle – The Crowds and Makatewah Country Club
Huge crowds and par three finishing holes on nine and 18 proved to be strong vantage points at a country club that figures to be back in 2027. Kroger and Proctor rolled out the red carpet, and a strong field helped draw fans to this downtown venue.

Lottie Woad may be unknown to many in the gallery, but to LPGA and NCAA golf fans, Woad is one of the many reasons that young players keep restocking the Tour with great young players.
