Non offical event takes the place of the Dana Open presented by Marathon. Toledo native Stacy Lewis is the host of the event

The evolution of a golf tournament will change if it lasts long enough, Toledo native and former M*A*S*H actor Jamie Farr was looking to fill his time after the cast figured all of the storylines had been told. Farr took up the game of golf and said he was terrible at it but he wanted to start a golf tournament. He lent his name to the LPGA event at Highland Meadows until 2012 and presenting sponsors have come and gone since then. The Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) tournament, then called the Jamie Farr Toledo Classic, started in 1984. It would keep that name until 1997 when Kroger became the title sponsor of the Jamie Farr Kroger Classic.
It became the Jamie Farr Kroger Classic Presented by ALLTEL in 2001, the Jamie Farr Owens Corning Classic Presented by Kroger in 2004 and the Jamie Farr Toledo Classic Presented by Kroger, Owens Corning and O-I in 2012. Marathon and Dana were the last two sponsors of the tournament and now, a special format which pairs LPGA legends and budding star Epson Tour Players will team up with a special format that will bring in LPGA players for this three-day event.

About the Tournament
The Greater Toledo Classic is a dual event between the Legends of the LPGA and Epson Tour. The tournament will be hosted by Toledo native Stacy Lewis, a 2-time Solheim Cup captain & 13-time LPGA winner. Over the past 40 years, the tournament has raised over $14 million for more than 200 local children’s charities.
The Purse for the event is broken down like this.
300K for 102 Epson players
150K for 42 Legends players
This year the event will be played from July 25th – July 27th, 2025 at Highland Meadows Golf Club.
