• Despite trailing by 18 points with 13:26 remaining in regulation, the Eastern Michigan football team scored three touchdowns in the fourth quarter to turn a 34-16 deficit into a 38-34 victory over rival Central Michigan. Cole Snyder threw for 300 yards and three touchdown passes, while Markus Allen posted a career performance with 140 yards on seven receptions and one touchdown. Terry Lockett Jr. also eclipsed the 100-yard mark, tallying three receptions for 100 yards and two touchdowns.

With the victory, Chuck Martin matched Randy Walker’s record for most career wins as Miami head coach (59).

• Toledo’s defense kept Northern Illinois out of the end zone and made six stops on fourth down to earn a 13-6 win in DeKalb, Ill. on Saturday. Toledo (5-2, 2-1 MAC) scored the only touchdown of the game in the second quarter on a 52-yard TD pass from John Alan Richter to Jerjuan Newton and added a pair of field goals by Dylan Cunanan in the victory.
