Kuchar’s break tournament record by five strokes
By Roy J. Akers -www.skyviewsports.net
The PNC Championship is a very close affair as Team Kuchar leads all 20 teams with a (-15), and the last-place team is only three strokes behind. It means there will be major movement on the scoreboard and today’s final leaderboard could look much different than the Rd. 1 duos.
Leaderboard
Team Kuchar starts out fast
Cameron and Matt Kuchar started out fast and broke the all-time record at this tournament. On the strength of a 57-54, the Kuchar’s beat the record, bettering it by five strokes. Cameron is a TCU commit.
Team Love
A 60-58 will beat all the mortals playing in a two-man scramble. Davis Love III and his son Dru Love had 14 birdies on the day and steamrolled through the back nine with seven birdies. Dru played on the European and mini-tours.
Nelly and Peter Korda
Finishing this tournament in third place was closed out with an eagle on 18. Peter’s game is tennis being a former major winner in that sport. He was solid with the putter and made several short putts that Nelly missed.
