East Lansing, Mich. – Three Michigan State women’s golfers earned All-Big Ten Conference honors, the league announced on Monday afternoon.

Senior Brooke Biermann was one of 10 golfers selected to the All-Big Ten First Team, while junior Taylor Kehoe earned All-Big Ten Second Team honors and senior Katie Lu was a recipient of the Big Ten Sportsmanship Award.

Biermann, who earns all-conference honors for the first time in her career, has been Michigan State’s top in seven of 10 events this year and leads the with a 71.62 scoring average. She has finished among the top-5 four times, among the top-10 five times and among the top-20 nine times while having 93.1 percent of her rounds count toward the team total (27-of-29). Her 71.62 scoring average is current the fourth-best single-season average in program history and she has three of the top-20 single-season marks at MSU.

During her career, Biermann has seven top-5 finishes, 11 among the top-10 and 25 among top-20. Her career average of 72.94 ranks third all-time in program history.

Kehoe, a transfer from Alabama, is second on the team with a 72.29 scoring average over eight events and 24 rounds. She has posted one top-5 finish, three among the top-10 and four in the top-20 while having 23-of-24 rounds count toward the team total (95.8%). In four events in the spring, Kehoe has carried a 71.75 scoring average, with a season-best tie for fifth place at the Buckeye Invitational on April 12-13.

In two years at Alabama, Kehoe earned Southeastern Conference Freshman of the Week honors once and was an SEC Academic Honor Roll selection while carrying a 74.28 average in 58 rounds. Kehoe’s current 72.29 average is a person best and is tied for the sixth-best single season mark in MSU history.

Lu, an All-Big Ten First Team selection in 2024, is third on the team with a 72.82 scoring average, the 13th-best mark for a single season at MSU. She has one top-5 finish, two top-10 and six among the top-20 in 10 events this year. Lu leads the team in rounds counted with 96.4 percent of her scores counting toward the team total (27-of-28).

Along with Biermann, Lu ranks among the top players in program history. She posted a 71.54 scoring average last year, the second-best single-season in program history, and was an honorable mention All-American. Her career scoring average of 73.37 ranks fourth all-time at Michigan State.

The Spartans are ranked No. 24 in the country in the latest NCAA Division I rankings and are coming off a runner-up finish at the Big Ten Championships on April 20.

The Spartans were selected to play in the NCAA Regionals, the ninth-straight year the team has been selected and the 25th time in the last 26 years. The Spartans are the No. 4 seed in the Norman (Okla.) Regional and the three-day tournament runs from Monday, May 5 to Wednesday, May 7. The top five teams (30 teams total) and the low individual not on an advancing team (six individuals total) from each regional site will advance to compete in the national championships to be played May 16-21 at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, California.
