Plenty of teams are going low at the PNC Championship in Orlando but most eyes are on Team Woods. With Tiger playing his way back into Tour caliber shape and Charlie trying to beat his dad, the galleries have plenty of great players to follow but one pair has most of the attention.

You Better Go Low…. Like 59 in a two-man scrambles

With the PNC Championship being a two-day event, both days are moving days. Four teams were tied with a two person scramble score of 59. The groups that are 5-6 shots behind need the leaders to come back to the pack. Not in a two person scramble. Several teams climbed the ladder on the day but it was Team Korda, Team Langer, Team Singh and Team Woods going low early. Teams were throwing punches and counter punches with birdies before it became a two-team battle late.

Complete Leaderboard

Eighteen of the 20 teams were within seven strokes of the Day 2 lead. Seven would remain that way and six teams led at least one hole.

Team Korda

Nelly and Petr Korda opened with a 63 in Round One and finished with a team combined 61. They started with five consecutive birdies on the third hole and went out with a 30. Five more birdies on the back actually saw the team slip to a finish of T-8th.

Team Singh

The started the PNC with a round of 59 before sinking to a 61. Like Team Korda, Vijay and his son Qass had 11 birdies as a team on the final day and lost two positions to the field.

Team Harrington

Padraig, in the golf HOF played with his son Paddy and they played to the tune of 60-61 and finished in the three way tie for 3rd. Notice something? No bogeys on the day for this group either.

Team Duval

Team Duval opened with a 63 and then shot the lowest round of the tournament with a 58. David and his son Brady played to a 29 on the front nine and came in with a second 29. Think of this. They still finished five strokes behind Team Langer/Team Woods.

Player Profiles- All Teams

Team Woods Charlie’s Hole in One on Sunday

Day One- Post Round interview

Tiger said this week that his 15-year-old son has already beaten him playing nine holes of golf. He said its a matter of time before Charlie beats him in an 18-hole round. Team Woods had the lead on Sunday multiple times but Team Langer never let go. Tiger and Charlie shot rounds of 59-57 to go -28 for the two day event. Tiger said he is no where close to being in PGA Tour competitive shape. For this weekend, it was special. Charlie had this events first hole-in-one ever and electrified the gallery.

Team Langer- The Winner

Bernhard Langer and his son Jason put together an eagle against Team Woods birdie in the first playoff hole. Langer and son shot a 57 on the final day and it included two eagles. One on the 5th hole in regulation and a second to win the tournament.

Bernhard Langer and his son Jason defended their title at the 2024 PNC Championship, topping Tiger Woods and son Charlie on the first playoff hole at the Ritz-Carlton in Orlando, Florida. The teams finished at 28 under for the tournament, setting a new scoring record.

But 67-year-old Bernhard poured in an eagle putt on the first playoff hole to knock off the Woods’ and win for a record sixth time at the PNC. Langer the Sr. won the Schwab Cup final event of the season and now the PNC. Not a bad way to end 2024.
