USCHO College Hockey Poll: MSU is back on top after beating Minnesota in series finale

With the final week of the first half of the college hockey season in the books, MSU scored four third period goals and defeated Minnesota to reclaim the top spot of the USCHO.com rankings. Minnesota held the spot for a week for the second time this season. MSU lost it to their B1G foe and now they have the top spot.

Along with MSU, Minnesota (No.3), Michigan (No.9) and No. 14 Ohio State are all ranked in the Top 20 Wisconsin is an honorable mention team this weekend along with Wisconsin.

Others receiving votes: New Hampshire 54, Massachusetts 23, Michigan Tech 14, Wisconsin 13, Bentley 11, Connecticut 10, LIU 4, Princeton 3, Bemidji State 2, Augustana 1, Holy Cross 1

The NCHC is well represented in the Top 20. Denver falls to No. 5 and Western Michigan is holding steady at No. 6. Colorado College, North Dakota and Arizona St. are teams representing the NCHC.

The CCHA has one lone team (Minnesota St. No.11) and Michigan Tech, Memidji State and Augustana are in the honorable mention category.

Most of the College Hockey world is off until the holiday break where many schools will play in tournaments.
