Men and Women announced with Conference Tournaments looming

Women

ROSEMONT, Ill. – University of Minnesota senior Isabella McCauley has been named the Big Ten Women’s Golfer of the Week, and Illinois’ Alexis Myers received Freshman of the Week honors, for tournaments from April 9-15.

The 2026 Big Ten Women’s Golf Championships presented by Allstate will be held April 24-26 at Oakmont Country Club in Glendale, California.

Golfer of the Week
Isabella McCauley, Minnesota

Senior – Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota – Business & Marketing Education

·       Shot a 4-under 212 (72-68-72) to win the Boilermaker Spring Classic hosted at Ackerman-Allen Golf Course in West Lafayette, Ind.

·       Shared the tournament lead with 11 birdies over three days

·       One of only three student-athletes in the 94-player field to finish under par

Freshman of the Week
Alexis Myers, Illinois

Freshman – Northbrook, Illinois – Glenbrook North High School

·       Earned a Top-5 result (72-75-70) at the Boilermaker Spring Classic hosted at Ackerman-Allen Golf Course in West Lafayette, Ind.

·       Shared the tournament lead with 11 birdies over three days

·       Helped lead the Illini to their second consecutive Boilermaker Spring Classic team title

Men

Co-Golfers of the Week 
Jack Crousore, Minnesota 
So. – Bluffton, S.C. 

  • Tied for first place at the Robert Kepler Invitational with a final score of 9-under-par (207) 
  • It marked his first collegiate title and helped Minnesota earn its first tournament title of the season 
  • Matched his career-best 54-hole score of 9-under-par and gathered 15 birdies during the two-day event 
  • Last Minnesota Big Ten Men’s Golfer of the Week: Chun-Ta Wu (Mar. 12, 2026) 

Jack Buchanan USC 
So. – Cape Town, South Africa 

  • Earned co-champion of the 79th Western Intercollegiate with a 200 (-10) for his first collegiate win 
  • Became the fifth Trojan to win the Western Intercollegiate and helped the team sweep the tournament titles  
  • Recorded his second collegiate eagle in the first round  
  • Also set the single-round tournament record and tied the lowest round in program history
