Jhonatton Vegas has held the PGA Championship lead through 36 holes at Quail Hollow, but in a game with no defense, making birdies is the only way to stay out front. Vegas did not play bad, but it was Scottie Scheffler’s day. Let’s Read on.

Eagles- Scottie Scheffler
Invariably, golf tournaments find golfers going up and down the scoring elevator and majors bring the volatility even more so. It does not affect Scheffler.
Birdies- Alex Noren

Noren kept grinding on moving day and had two bogeys to go along with seven birdies to card a five under 66. Noren put together four birdies down the stretch of the final five holes and is in position to challenge Scheffler.

Bogeys- Bryson DeChambeau

DeChambeau had just come off a fist-pumping birdie on 15. The second of back-to-back birdies that gave DeChambeau the lead. But just like that, a nine-iron miscue on 15 and a double on 17 sent DeChambeau back to minus five. BD was irked at fans multiple times during the round. The Quail Hollow crowd was obnoxious throughout the CBS Telecast. Booze, Moonshine, too many episodes of Honey Boo Boo?

Not out of it- Jhonattan Vegas

Vegas posted four bogeys against two birdies in the round, and Vegas limped into the clubhouse. Vegas is going the wrong way. After an opening day of 64, he carded a 70 on day 2 and a 73 on moving day. Vegas is five shot behind Scheffler. He needs another 64 to win the Wanamaker Trophy and hope Scheffler plays near par.
