When Detroit Golf Club announced it was shutting down its north course for one year, the thought is it had to do with requests from the PGA Tour and the Rocket Mortgage Classic. Not so said Carl Hays, PGA Pro at the Detroit Golf Club. According to Hays, (watch the Double Eagle Zoomcast below with video on the restoration), this restoration was done and planned for several years. We go over what the restoration entailed and what this means for the club and the legacy for golf in the City of Detroit for today and future generations. Plenty of video.
